May 30, 1970 - August 1, 2024
In loving memory ~
George Russell Henshall, a cherished son, brother, and father, passed away unexpectedly on August 1. 2024 at his home in Langford, BC, at the age of 54.
Born on May 30, 1970, in Campbell River to Janet and Russell Henshall, George developed a passion for hockey at the age of four. He attended Robron High School, balancing his studies with summers spent commercial fishing alongside his father.
After completing post-secondary studies at Camosun College and UVIC and graduating as a civil engineering technologist, George made Victoria his home, where he married and welcomed two beloved daughters, Mary and Anne. He was an avid community hockey player and passionate about fishing, tennis, squash, and golf.
Known for his keen humour, infectious laughter, and ability to bring people together, George is survived by his parents, his sister Laura, son in law Shawn, and his daughters, Mary and Anne. He will be deeply missed by countless friends who have a life time of laughs and memories to cherish.
In keeping with George's wishes, there will be no formal service. A celebration of his life will be held privately. His ashes will be scattered in Johnstone Strait.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the overwhelming love and support they have received during this difficult time.
