Sometimes you have to learn the hard way about the consequences of alcohol and driving.
A 20-year-old Langford woman was issued an immediate roadside prohibition and a violation ticket after the blue Honda Accord she was driving crashed into a pole on Lagoon Road near Heatherbell Road at about 4 p.m. on Monday.
West Shore RCMP Const. Alex Berube said the ticket was issued for driving contrary to her "no alcohol" restriction under her class 7 driver's license (Learner's) and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days. There were no injuries and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
