Runners arrive in Langford after more than 600 km run down Vancouver Island

The Wounded Warriors runners arrive at the Langford Legion after completing their week-long run down the length of Vancouver Island

Steve Deschamps, Canning Knull, Lorne Guthro, Mary McGregor, Sebastian Aresenault and Rob Lamothe arrived in Langford on Friday after completing their grueling run down Vancouver Island to raise awareness of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Departing from Port Hardy Feb. 15, the runners each took a leg of the journey along the Strait of Georgia over the course of six days, covering more than 600 kilometres. It culminated in a celebration back at Saunders Subaru in Colwood, where the kickoff for the event happened two weeks earlier, before the team departed north.

The team began their days in Port Hardy, Rooney Lake, Campbell River, Comox, Nanaimo and Mill Bay, before returning to the Capital Region for another fundraiser for the cause B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·“ an auction and raffle held at the Langford Legion.
