A man posing as a police officer tried to B次元官网网址渁rrestB次元官网网址� a Vancouver Island woman on Tuesday, according to police.

Campbell River RCMP believe the same man aggressively confronted another woman in her parked car that same afternoon.

The first woman was crossing the street when the fake cop approached her on foot, according to Cpl. Ron Vlooswyk, a spokesperson for the Campbell River RCMP.

B次元官网网址淪he was approached from behind by an unknown male,B次元官网网址� Vlooswyk told Black Press. B次元官网网址淗e said something like, B次元官网网址業B次元官网网址檓 the police and youB次元官网网址檙e under arrest.B次元官网网址� She said no and she pulled away.B次元官网网址�

The man didnB次元官网网址檛 make physical contact with her but B次元官网网址渕ay have tried,B次元官网网址� Vlooswyk said.

Police received a call about the incident at around 4 p.m. The woman told police the unknown male backed off because witnesses were watching the scene unfold.

B次元官网网址淪he says there were people that were watching, so the unidentified guy left her alone,B次元官网网址� Vlooswyk said.

The suspect was then picked up by someone driving a B次元官网网址渨hite vehicle,B次元官网网址� Vlooswyk said. He couldnB次元官网网址檛 specify what kind of vehicle it was.

She told police the man seemed B次元官网网址渙ffB次元官网网址� B次元官网网址� possibly due to mental illness, drugs or alcohol B次元官网网址� and described him as a Caucasian male in his 30s with short dark hair, wearing all-black clothing and white runners.

Soon afterwards, police received a report of an aggressive man confronting a woman in her parked car.

B次元官网网址淭his unidentified male started pounding on her window,B次元官网网址� Vlooswyk said, adding that the man became more agitated when she called the police.

B次元官网网址淎gain, she wasnB次元官网网址檛 sure whether it was mental health issues or drugs or alcohol,B次元官网网址� Vlooswyk said.

This second woman described the man along the same lines: B次元官网网址渁 Caucasian male wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, black pants, white runners, in his 30s, (with) short dark greying hair.B次元官网网址�

Vlooswyk called the stories B次元官网网址渄isturbing,B次元官网网址� especially because the man was trying to pass himself off as a police officer in the first case.

He said itB次元官网网址檚 important for people to be vigilant and watch out for each other.
