The West Shore RCMP are reminding the public to be cautious when walking alone at night after a youth was grabbed Monday

The West Shore RCMP are reminding the public to be cautious when walking alone at night after a youth was grabbed on Wishart Road last night shortly after 5 p.m.

The 13-year-old female was walking along Wishart Road Nov. 5, when a stranger grabbed her wrist. The girl was able to get away and call the police. The West Shore RCMP are continuing to investigate this matter. The man was described as 17 to 25 years old, five-foot 10-inches tall wearing a black hoodie, white running shoes and black cargo pants.

Though the manB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s intentions are unclear, there is no evidence to suggest the he was trying to harm the female.

West Shore RCMP are asking anyone with information regarding this incident or similar incident to contact the detachment at 250-474-2264 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
