Responsible Gambling Awareness Week is the second week of January, and the West Shore needs volunteers to help man the stations.
The initiative is a partnership between BCLC, the B.C. Responsible and Problem Gambling Program, View Royal Casino and the WestShore Chamber of Commerce.

Responsible Gambling Awareness Week was created by BCLC and the province to help better inform the community about the myths and risks associated with gambling, while promoting responsible play and support services.
Organizers need volunteers to help in View Royal, Langford and Colwood from Jan. 13 to 19. Duties include a BCLC training workshop to man a kiosk that will be located at various venues in the West Shore.
The volunteer time commitment will include attending training sessions for three to four hours, followed by at minimum one shift of two hours in the community.
