VicPD started an investigation after gear belonging to the departmentB次元官网网址檚 Crowd Management Unit was discovered missing in February.

Missing items include tear gas canisters, pepper ball guns and ammunition, ARWEN rounds (a hard plastic baton used for crowd dispersal), several tactical vests and a Remington shotgun, which police use to fire non-lethal rounds.

As well, the department's professional standards section continues to conduct a review of policy and practices into inventory management.
