Victoria police say that alcohol was likely a factor into two separate instances where a car crashed into a home.

On Sept. 30, police arrived at a residence in the 1600-block of Hollywood Crescent to find a Ford Focushad crashed through the side of a house, landing in the living room.

The lone driver was transported to hospital where he was released shortly after on a promise to appear with a future court date.

On Oct. 14, officers attended to a call at 1:30 a.m. at a residence in the 2700-block of Cook Street where a Ford Mustang had driven into an unoccupied bedroom. The lone driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

B次元官网网址淭he area of impact was an unoccupied bedroom which is fortunate as if it was occupied, it could have led to serious injuries,B次元官网网址 VicPD said in a statement.

The investigation of the Cook Street incident is still in its early stages, but alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in the collision.

Over the weekend, VicPD also removed six other impaired drivers from the road.
