The idea of a Camosun College campus in Langford was met with mixed reviews this week from West Shore residents.
With roughly 3,200 residents commuting to Camosun for classes, Langford Mayor Stew Young noted building a location on the West Shore would help aleviate traffic problems and allow residents to attend classes in their community.
Geoff Wilmshurst, CamosunBԪַs vice-president of partnerships, noted discussions with the City of Langford have been productive. BԪַLangfordBԪַs definitely on their radar,BԪַ he told the Gazette. BԪַCamosun has a good model and we want to enhance that.BԪַ

The push for more post secondary education options on the West Shore had some residents excited about the idea BԪַ and getting out of the Colwood Crawl.
But others were a little more skeptical and offered some alternatives.
The City of Langford is also talking with Royal Roads University in Colwood.
