What could be more romantic than dinner by candlelight? How about helping out the environment at the same time?

B.C. HydroB次元官网网址檚 Candlelight Conservation Dinner is taking place on Oct. 25 throughout the province and on the West Shore. Only one West Shore restaurant is participating this year, Basilico Ristorante and Lounge, and is offering a dining experience rarely enjoyed these days.

The lights will be dimmed to a minimum and the candles will be lit to provide the majority of the light in the restaurant.

Co-owner Dawn Whitton said this is the third year the restaurant has participated in the event. Along with the candlelight the staff makes an extra effort to conserve electricity consumption in the kitchen and throughout the restaurant.

Whitton said for previous events some patrons have come specifically for the candlelight dinner, while others arrived unaware of the special event. Either way, she said everyone, including the staff, had a good time and thatB次元官网网址檚 why they continue to take part. B次元官网网址淭hey really got into the spirit of and really enjoyed themselves,B次元官网网址� Whitton said. B次元官网网址淚t was a really fun night for all of us.B次元官网网址�

Basilico will also be offering half-price pizza for the event as an added bonus.
