The Sooke School District is getting a new superintendent next fall.
Scott Stinson will replace Jim Cambridge, who retires in August.

Stinson has worked in education throughout Greater Victoria for more than 30 years, including the Sooke School District where he was once a principal at David Cameron Elementary school in Langford. He is currently assistant superintendent for the Saanich School District.

Stinson is looking forward to both building new relationships, and re-establishing old ones at his new job.
He said he will be keeping his eye on the transformation agenda set by the Education Ministry, and looking at the curriculum changes in kindergarten to Grade 9 and grad programs that will be coming in the next school year.
