Sooke RCMP reported a busy long weekend with 56 calls leading to several arrests.
Four calls for service came from Port Renfrew.
Police dealt with disturbances, theft from vehicles, and recovered stolen property.
On Monday, two people were arrested possessing a quantity of stolen property at a vehicle stop. During the investigation an undetermined amount of illicit drugs was also located. Police are recommending charges.
The Easter weekend started early for Mounties when they conducted an impaired driver check on Thursday.
Police stopped a vehicle and after a brief conversation with the driver, he fled from police. The driver was identified by an officer and the vehicle was impounded the next day.
Meanwhile, several reports of thefts from homes under construction have also been reported in the last few weeks.
