A playground could sprout as early as next month from the muddy patch next to the tires, after a six-year project by Smith and other parents of the school.
B次元官网网址淚tB次元官网网址檚 an area thatB次元官网网址檚 widely used by the whole community, everybody is going to benefit,B次元官网网址 says Bronwen Sharpe, parent and former chair of the Willows Playground Committee.
It took them six years to come up with the $46,000 for the equipment, and theyB次元官网网址檙e still shy $10,000 for the $25,000 cost of installation by the school district.
The equipment is on its way, but requires district staff to be available and the ground to be in the right condition for installation to get started.
B次元官网网址淲eB次元官网网址檙e first in the queue,B次元官网网址 Sharpe said happily.
As a fundraising-free school, the parent group remains $10,000 shy of the install costs, but did get some covered by corporate sponsors Canpro Construction Ltd. and Academy of Learning.
