West Shore RCMP continue to investigate an armed robbery that left one man with a gunshot wound to his leg in what police say appeared to be a B次元官网网址渄rug deal gone wrong.B次元官网网址
The 40-year-old Duncan man admitted himself to Victoria General Hospital with the gunshot wound shortly after 4 p.m. on Monday. He is in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.
The initial investigation revealed the victim met with another man and woman in a gravel parking lot in the 2800-block of the Trans Canada Hwy., near Ice Cream Mountain in Langford. The second man pulled a handgun and attempted to rob the first. The gun went off after a brief struggle.
The public are not considered to be at risk, police said.
The suspect is described as in his late 30s and was wearing a dark baseball cap, blue jeans and a hoodie at the time. He stands about six-foot-two and weighs roughly 150 pounds.
The local detachmentB次元官网网址檚 major crime unit is heading the investigation, with the assistance of the Island District RCMP forensic identification services and the RCMP police dog services.
