Search and rescue crews in Greater Victoria were kept busy over the weekend with an operation in the Sooke Hills near Sugarloaf.
Crews were called out at around 4 p.m. with roughly 30 members from Juan de Fuca and Metchosin working together. of the Juan de Fuca search and rescue team, and Metchosin Emergency Program.
Shortly after 9 p.m. they found the person and stretchered them out to hand off to BC Ambulance.

UPDATE 2120 hours: About 30 JDF and Metchosin Search and Rescue members are currently involved in the stretcher carry near Sugarloaf. Teams are expected to be in the field for another few hours. is also on scene awaiting our teams in the field.
