You might assume thieves targeting a car lot would be after cars, but whoever broke into Galaxy Motors last week left with little more than a sandwich grill.
West Shore RCMP were called to the Island highway business at 11 a.m., May 4, by employees of the dealership reporting the break-in.
Sometime the previous night, a thief or thieves broke into the office through a window.
B次元官网网址淭he window was popped open, but the alarm didnB次元官网网址檛 go off,B次元官网网址 said West Shore RCMP Sgt. Max Fossum. B次元官网网址淭he culprit came in from one window and stole an old laptop. Basically it had almost no value whatsoever.B次元官网网址
Ten sets of car keys were also stolen from the office.
B次元官网网址淭he keys that were stolen were to cars that are getting sent to the crusher,B次元官网网址 said Trent Cummings, Galaxy Motors manager. B次元官网网址淲e were not concerned about that.B次元官网网址
Galaxy Motors has replaced the faulty motion detectors that failed to trigger the alarm.
The lot itself is designed with vehicles blocking routes to prevent cars from being stolen. Thieves whoB次元官网网址檝e tried to steal cars from the lot in the past have left empty handed each time.
One of the items taken was a a George Foreman grill that employees used to toast their sandwiches.
Several Sharpie Magnum pens were lifted from the office as well.
B次元官网网址淲e use them for signage,B次元官网网址 Cummings said. B次元官网网址淚 think the (thieves) are taggers.B次元官网网址
