Previously, Tysick was executive director of the Open Door, and oversaw plans for the new, expanded facility on Pandora Avenue in 2007.

Tysick has tirelessly advocated for more funding to open the drop-in centre for longer hours. Under his leadership, opening was changed from 9 a.m. to 7 a.m., five days a week B次元官网网址 but he continues to push for evening and weekend opening.

The United Church minister starts his work days by 6 a.m., by delivering coffee and treats to people sleeping on the streets. ItB次元官网网址檚 the type of work for which he wants more time, he told media earlier this week.

Our Place is a drop-in centre for the poor, offering meals, clothing, showers, Internet and housing.
