Gas stations in Langford appear to be leading the recent drop in prices around the Capital Region.
Customers from around the West Shore including Colwood, Metchosin, View Royal and some as far as Sooke, are coming to Langford gas stations including the Chevron station at Goldstream Avenue and VeteranB次元官网网址檚 Memorial Parkway to save.
B次元官网网址淚t helps that I live here in the West Shore, but I do make it a point to fill up here,B次元官网网址 said Langford resident Tina Watson. B次元官网网址淚 understand they are potentially competing with Costco, so they try to keep their prices the same, but everywhere else in town, it is either two or three cents more.B次元官网网址
Watson doesnB次元官网网址檛 live far from the station and comes every Friday to fill up. WednesdayB次元官网网址檚 price of $1.14.9 per litre was a marked decline from the prices that hovered past $1.20 per litre during summer when gas prices are usually at their highest.
B次元官网网址淚 am a single mother and I make $20 an hour. ItB次元官网网址檚 hard, I need my car and itB次元官网网址檚 a necessity, so I would like to see it go down a little more,B次元官网网址 the care aide said. B次元官网网址淓very Friday it is between 30 to 40 bucks.B次元官网网址
The Esso on Jacklin Road next to the West Shore Town Centre, and Superstore off VeteranB次元官网网址檚 Memorial Parkway were all a cent cheaper compared to many other stations in Langford where most stations sold for $1.15.9 per litre. Costco, where a paid membership is necessary to buy is 113.9 cents per litre.
Dana Fraas, a registered nurse at Victoria General Hospital, lives near the border of Colwood and Metchosin and comes into Langford regularly to fill up.
B次元官网网址淚 always come to this gas station because it is always the cheapest gas,B次元官网网址 Fraas said. B次元官网网址淚 used to go to Costco, but my Costco card expired so I donB次元官网网址檛 go anymore.B次元官网网址
