A total of 1,300 responses have overturned the Alternative Approval Process for the proposed View Royal fire hall. A total of 700 returned forms were required to either force a new plan or a referendum.
Councillor and protective services committee chair Heidi Rast said the town has received much feedback through the process and council and staff will likely look at altering the plans slightly before bringing it back to residents for a referendum.
The results will be discussed by council on Monday, July 23 during its regular meeting.
