West Shore RCMPB次元官网网址檚 major crime unit is investigating a case of a possible attempted child abduction in Langford.
Police say a 10-year-old female elementary school student was walking on Rainville Road at approximately 2:50 p.m. on Nov. 18, when she was approached by a white panel van driven by a man, who asked her to get in. The driver reportedly opened his door while he spoke to the girl.
She ran away and told her family what happened, after which the police were notified.
B次元官网网址淲e are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed this van or suspect in that area,B次元官网网址 detachment spokesperson Const. Alex Berube said in a release.

The van driver is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 30 years of age with black greasy hair and a goatee. He was wearing a navy blue shirt, grey/black skater shoes with white soles and grey jeans.
The vehicle is described as an older model white panel van with no side or rear windows. It was dirty and had scratches on the side and garbage in the passenger side wheel well.
