Police are asking any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to contact them immediately with information relating to the fatal crash that led to the death of West Shore RCMP Const. Sarah Beckett.

A call has gone out for anyone who was driving or walking on Peatt Road or in the area of Goldstream Avenue in Langford between 3 and 4 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5 and may have seen the vehicles involved. Beckett was driving a marked RCMP cruiser, while the other vehicle was a full-sized grey Dodge SLT pickup with Cummins Diesel insignias.

The criminal aspect of the case is being led by the RCMP Island District's general investigation service, while Saanich police investigators are handling analysis of the collision scene.
