A rally in Victoria took over the front steps of the Victoria Law Courts Thursday to stand in solidarity with UnistB次元官网网址檕tB次元官网网址檈n B次元官网网址� a permanent, non-violent Indigenous occupation south of Houston, B.C. set up to protect unceded UnistB次元官网网址檕tB次元官网网址檈n territory from pipeline construction.

The UnistB次元官网网址檕tB次元官网网址檈n Camp is along the proposed route of multiple LNG pipelines, including TransCanada Coastal GasLink who filed an application for an injunction Nov. 26 in Prince George B.C. Supreme Court to enforce access to areas blocked by the UnistB次元官网网址檕tB次元官网网址檈n camp.

The hearing began this week, inspiring Victoria activists to head to the courthouse B次元官网网址渋n support for WetB次元官网网址檚uwetB次元官网网址檈n hereditary chiefs and the UnistB次元官网网址檕tB次元官网网址檈n Yintah.B次元官网网址�

B次元官网网址淲e want to show our support for UnistB次元官网网址檕tB次元官网网址檈n and the five hereditary chiefs of the WetB次元官网网址檚uwetB次元官网网址檈n who continue to assert jurisdiction over their territories and steadfastly say B次元官网网址楴O consent for fracked gas pipelines!B次元官网网址橞次元官网网址� said rally organizers.

A smaller group, dressed in court costumes and calling themselves the Supreme Court Choir, sang protest renditions of popular Christmas carols.
