What would you like the District of MetchosinB次元官网网址檚 village square to look like?
ThatB次元官网网址檚 the question the DistrictB次元官网网址檚 healthy community advisory committee hopes to answer as part of a public survey launched earlier this week.
Through the survey, the committee hopes to narrow down where a centralized village square could be located within the municipality, what it is going to consist of, what amenities it will require and how much it will cost.
B次元官网网址淚 really want a place where parents can come, sit down and run around with their kids, and also a place for seniors to watch kids and talk to young parents and really encourage those multi-generational relationships,B次元官网网址 committee member Shannon Carman said in a previous interview with the Gazette.

In August, the District received a $30,000 grant from the provincial government, the B.C. Alliance for Healthy Living and the B.C. Healthy Communities Society to help create more active communities.
Using those funds, the committee is working with consulting firm RC Strategies + PERC to complete the project and produce a report that can be referenced for future planning and funding.

Phase one of the project includes research and citizen engagement to find out what residents want and need in a centralized village square.
Phase two could take place this year and includes the development of site concept plans.
Residents have until Tuesday, March 20 to complete the survey. For more information or to fill out the survey visit .
