Warmer weather is making its way to parts of B.C., and already police are getting reports of dogs being left in hot cars.
Victoria police responded to two incidents where dogs had been left in vehicles Thursday afternoon. In both instances, officers had to smash a window to free the pets.
They were handed over to animal control and the cars were towed.
Police spokesperson Bowen Osoko couldnB次元官网网址檛 say exactly how long theyB次元官网网址檝e been left in the cars.

Neither driver was charged, Osoko said, but people who do leave their dogs in vehicles can face charges including mischief and animal cruelty.
Pet owners probably just donB次元官网网址檛 realize how warm it is when the sunB次元官网网址檚 out, he said, adding that year after year people still arenB次元官网网址檛 getting the message.
