Thousands of people lined the sidewalks of Douglas Street Monday morning in downtown Victoria for the 119th annual .

Dozens of floats, marching bands, community groups, armed forces and first responders took part in the event with colourful costumes, historic outfits and classic vehicles. A few of the longtime sponsors also built their own parade floats or dressed up their vehicles to the delight of onlookers.
