Peg Orcherton, a school trustee since 2002, was acclaimed as chair for the Board of Education of School District 61 (Greater Victoria) for her second term. The board held its annual elections Dec. 10.

Bev Horsman was re-elected as vice-chair, Elaine Leonard was re-elected as chair of the operations, policy and planning committee and Catherine Alpha was re-elected as chair of the education policy development committee.

Tom Ferris is the board representative for the British Columbia Public School EmployersB次元官网网址� Association (BCPSEA) and the Vancouver Island Labour Relations Association (VILRA). Horsman will remain as the British Columbia School TrusteesB次元官网网址� Association Provincial Councillor (BCSTA).
