Just 12 B.C. Wines are taking home hardware after competing against more than 450 different wines for the 2017 Lieutenant GovernorB次元官网网址檚 Awards for Excellence in British Columbia Wines.
This year a total of 486 wines were submitted by 132 wineries for judging.

Of the twelve winning wines, all twelve are from the Okanagan. OliverB次元官网网址檚 Cassini Cellars was the only winery to take home two of the prestigious wine awards. In fact, Oliver was an award-winning region with five of the 12 hailing from the area. Oliver is called the B次元官网网址榃ine Capital of CanadaB次元官网网址� as it is home to nearly half of British ColumbiaB次元官网网址檚 vines.
The lieutenant-governor will visit each of the winning wineries in September to present the awards.
Members of the Consular Corps of British Columbia will accompany her when she makes these presentations so they can gain knowledge and experience British ColumbiaB次元官网网址檚 celebrated wine industry.
All wineries in B.C. were invited to submit their wines for blind judging by a panel of wine industry professionals.
Wines submitted had to be from 100 per cent British Columbian grown grapes and produced in the province to be eligible.
