The sky wasnB次元官网网址檛 falling but rocks did on the Trans Canada Highway near Goldstream park.

Around 1 a.m. on Jan. 5 a small amount of rocks fell onto the highway about 250 metres south of Goldstream bridge, said Renee Mounteney, with the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.

Both rock slides were attributed to a B次元官网网址渇reeze and thawB次元官网网址� process and a tap root from a tree.

B次元官网网址淭he tree root digs its way into a crack in the rock. The water gets in the crack and it freezes and it breaks off. Like an ice cube,B次元官网网址� Mounteney explained.

TheyB次元官网网址檝e ordered signs for the area warning motorists of falling rock. The ministry also plans to monitor the site. The area has been added to the ministryB次元官网网址檚 rock scale program with work expected to begin in the spring.

No vehicles or people were involved or injured in either case.
