Ranns was acknowledged with the medal for his 25 years of service to the rural community and the rest of the capital region.

MP Randall Garrison and Geoff Young, former Capital Regional District chair, awarded Ranns the honour at the Dec. 17 council along with the Metchosin fire department honour guard.

The medal was created to celebrate ElizabethB次元官网网址檚 accession to the throne 60 years ago.
