The Mary Lake ConservancyB次元官网网址檚 website, which sells virtual square-metres of a treasured Highlands property, is short-listed for a West Coast Social Media award.

In the category of B次元官网网址淪ocial Media Campaign of the Year," MLC is up against 10 other campaigns, including some by big players such the B.C. government, Telus and London Drugs.

The Save Mary Lake campaign, launched last October, wasn't successful in raising $1 million to buy a privately-owned 43-hectare woodland property. But it did attract $250,000 in donations in five months, which will be used to save another environmental treasure in Highlands if the Mary Lake property is sold before the MLC can come up with the balance.

The Social Media award winners will be determined by a public vote, which closes Monday. The awards, or B次元官网网址淲esties,B次元官网网址� will be handed out June 3.
