The Canadian Coast Guard confirms that a rescue incident off Sooke Thursday night was real and not part of the recent that have been taking place in the waters off Victoria.

Four people were on board a vessel that ran aground just before 10 p.m. Thursday night off East Sooke, according to Provincial Health Services Authority.
Two people are in serious condition and one is in stable following the crash.

Canadian Coast Guard Ship Cape Calvert and RCM-SAR 35 Fast Rescue Boat responded, as well as BCEHS and East Sooke Fire Department. RCM_SAR 35 quickly recovered the 4 person crew, and transported them to the Prestige Hotel area.
An air ambulance landed at a hotel in the 6900 block of West Coast Rd. around midnight to take one person to hospital, while ambulances transported two others B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·“ one by advanced life support ambulance.
