Drivers who travel Leigh Road in Langford should expect intermittent traffic delays until mid-to-late summer while work on that corridor continues.
The City of Langford is undertaking a road improvement project on the stretch of Leigh Road between Dunford and Goldstream Avenues, which will see the makeup of driving lanes in both directions altered slightly.
The work will involve the installation of a paved, multi-use 1.8-metre pathway along the east side of Leigh Road, a 1.5-metre-wide bike lane in both directions and a middle turning lane, where warranted, along that stretch of road.
G&E Contracting B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·“ who was awarded the contract for the work B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·“ have begun finding any underground utilities they will need to know about before beginning construction work, but there is no date set for work to begin on the roadway itself.
Any questions or concerns should be addressed to the cityB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s engineering department at 250-478-7882 or by email to engineering@cityoflangford.ca. Watch cityoflangford.ca for traffic disruption updates.
