A sharp-eyed Langford resident helped West Shore RCMP arrest a habitual thief last week.

On Feb. 21, at around 1:30 p.m. a woman in the 2700 block of Kingswood Road saw a unfamiliar man rummaging around in the two vehicles parked across the street at her neighbourB次元官网网址檚 home.

She called West Shore RCMP, who promptly arrested a 24-year-old man walking along Goldstream Avenue. 

The suspect, a West Shore resident of no fixed address, had been released from custody just hours earlier.

B次元官网网址淗e was just released that morning from custody on an unrelated matter,B次元官网网址� said Const. Julie Chanin with West Shore RCMP. B次元官网网址淲ithin a couple of hours we picked him up.B次元官网网址� 

The vehicles were not damaged and police say the man stole a small amount of cash. He is known to police and RCMP are recommending charges of thief under $5,000.

Chanin thanked the resident for watching out for her neighbourhood and acting quickly.
