B次元官网网址淚t was very, very fortunate because with the little bit of wind weB次元官网网址檝e got going on right now, it was starting to spread,B次元官网网址 said Fire Chief Chris Aubrey. B次元官网网址淚t was very fortunate he was able to grab a garden hose and basically keep the flames in check until we got there.B次元官网网址
While Aubrey said the cause of the fire is under investigation, he noted there was campfire equipment in the vicinity.
If the fire started as a result of a campfire that was not property extinguished, it will be the second one the department has responded to in recent weeks.
Aubrey said the incident serves as a reminder that although there was a bit of rain over the weekend, residents should continue to be vigilant.
B次元官网网址淲e want to make sure everyone is fully extinguishing their camp fires before they leave for the evening,B次元官网网址 he said. B次元官网网址淓ven if thatB次元官网网址檚 not the cause, itB次元官网网址檚 a good reminder that all it takes is a little bit of wind and some ashes to get out into the dry grass and it could take off from there.B次元官网网址
To properly extinguish a campfire Aubrey suggests B次元官网网址渁dding water and stirringB次元官网网址 until the debris is cold to the touch.
