A North Park man, who lives alone, encountered a male intruder asleep, head down, at the dining room table.

Three Victoria police officers responded to the 911 call at a Bay Street residence at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday. They saw that the suspect was sound asleep with his pants down around his ankles.

The suspect, who police believe entered the residence through an unlocked door, is being held on charges of being unlawfully in a dwelling and assaulting a peace officer.
