Interim CAO hired by Colwood

Former Central Saanich admin boss to play role on interim basis

The City of Colwood has named an interim chief administrative officer.

Earlier this month Mayor Carol Hamilton officially announced the news on the cityB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s website that Gary Nason would be joining Colwood in the role, overseeing all city staff.

Nason has more than 30 yearsB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™ experience in local government, having served as CAO for the District of Central Saanich for 19 years and more recently acting in the same capacity on an interim basis for the District of Oak Bay. He previously worked for the City of Nanaimo and City of Port Alberni.

Nason replaces James Moller, who was hired in early 2014, and becomes the fourth permanent or interim CAO for the City of Colwood since 2012. Nason will remain in the position until a permanent appointment is made by Colwood council.
