By next March, Royal Roads University will be a little safer for people walking or driving on campus.
The majority of a $2.7 million provincial grant announced Aug. 23 will go to improve pedestrian and vehicle safety at the school. That project is budgeted at $2.1 million.
This money is a combination of a grant officially secured earlier this summer and funding allotted to the university annually.
The school will also spend $350,000 to upgrade its fire alarm system. The remainder of the grant is routine capital allocation from the province.
