Four people pulled from boat in distress on Cattle Point Rocks

Four boaters are high and dry after a harrowing bit of time on the waters off Cattle Point this evening.

Oak Bay police and fire, as well as Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue - Station Oak Bay were dispatched after a boat that left the ramp couldnB次元官网网址檛 get its engine going.

B次元官网网址淥ur understanding was that a boat with four passengers made their way from the south boat ramp at Cattle Point,B次元官网网址 said

Oak Bay Police were on scene first and an officer had the foursome out of the boat when the fire department arrived around 5:30 p.m.

B次元官网网址淭he first police officer made his way out to the rocks to assist them. He held the boat and got them all out onto the rocks. When we arrived on scene the police officer was holding the boat B次元官网网址 along with the owner,B次元官网网址 Roskelley said. B次元官网网址淥ur crew went out and assisted by tying a rope to the bow and we were able to bring the boat in as well as assist the passengers off the rocks.B次元官网网址

The four were checked over by BC Ambulance.
