A private company is in the process of installing a fibre optic network for TELUS in multiple Vancouver Island communities.

F3 Networks Canada Inc. has been hired by TELUS to bring the B次元官网网址淧urfibreB次元官网网址 services to homes across the Island. It means you will be contacted by a company representative looking to access your property to install the line from the street (or a utility pole) to a telecommunications box on the side of the house.

You wonB次元官网网址檛 be charged for anything and you donB次元官网网址檛 have to accept the service when it becomes available, says Abby Al-Qadah, a representative of F3 Networks.

B次元官网网址淭ELUS is the main provider looking to lease the line,B次元官网网址 Al-Qadah said. B次元官网网址淥ur job is to specifically lay the fibre optic.B次元官网网址

F3 Networks Canada Inc., will have a team going door-to-door to explain the process. There will not be any work done on private property without the homeownerB次元官网网址檚 permission. The information collected will be used for F3B次元官网网址檚 records to know which homes have a fibre optic cable connnection completed.

During the construction, the fibre optic cable installation will attempt to follow the same path as existing utility services. If your residence is service from a pole, then the fibre cable will come from the same pole infrastructure via a similar path from pole to premises. If your area is serviced via a buried power and communications facilitires, F3 will strive to use existing conduit infrastructure available, or install new infrastructure where no existing conduit is present.

B次元官网网址淲e have connected with F3 Networks Canada Inc. and TELUS to ensure improved communications are shared with Campbell River residents moving forward,B次元官网网址 according to a city statement.
