One driver is in hospital after their vehicle hit the centre median and rolled over near Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal. The crash occurred shortly after 2:30 p.m. Police on scene said there were no other passengers in the car, which was southbound.

North Saanich fire chief John Trelford said it was possible the driver had a medical incident which caused the crash. Tire tracks on site suggest the car was coming down the ramp from Lands End Road and crossed three lanes of traffic before hitting the centre median and rolling over.
