If youB次元官网网址檝e taken a walk through Havenwood Park in Colwood recently, you may have noticed it looks a bit different.
The City has upgraded a number of trails in the area and constructed a new signaled pedestrian crosswalk on Veterans Memorial Parkway, before Latoria Road, to allow residents to safely access the park and nearby neighbourhoods.
B次元官网网址淎s the only safe crossing on the 1.5-kilometre stretch of Veterans Memorial Parkway between Cairndale and Latoria Road, this provides safe access to Havenwood Park and beyond to Lookout Lake Park, as well as connections between neighbourhoods and to services like Red Barn Market at Latoria Walk and ForesterB次元官网网址檚 Grill at Olympic View Golf Club,B次元官网网址� said Mayor Carol Hamilton.
Work on the improvements began in September, beginning with an upgraded entrance and a trail crossing constructed over Latoria Creek on the trail that leads to Windthrop Road.
A trail was also constructed along Veterans Memorial to the Parkway Place entrance, to provide residents with a connection between Ocean View Park and the surrounding Mary Anne Crescent.
