A former councillor and mayoral candidate seeking change in the municipality has put his name into the ring for Colwood council.

Paul B次元官网网址淏uddyB次元官网网址 DeVito, who was on council from 1996 to 1999, when he lost the mayoral race to Beth Gibson, told the Gazette his decision followed calls from the community encouraging him to run again.

B次元官网网址淲orkers and developers and people from various walks of life are asking if I was going to run,B次元官网网址 he said. B次元官网网址淪o I talked to my wife and she said, B次元官网网址榣etB次元官网网址檚 go for it.B次元官网网址橞次元官网网址

DeVito, who in 2006 spoke in favour of a 29-storey condominium tower near Royal Roads University that was never ultimately built, claims he has no special agendas and no B次元官网网址減et groupsB次元官网网址 to be beholden to.

He plans to run a B次元官网网址渕odest campaignB次元官网网址 and show up at all the all-candidates meetings he can.

Having won and lost before, DeVito is prepared for whatever might happen.

B次元官网网址淟osing an election is a temporary disappointment. Winning one is a four-year commitment,B次元官网网址 he said.
