BC Liberal leader Christy Clark says she will not resign, but will call the legislature back in June to test the confidence in her minority government.

B次元官网网址淲e have a duty to meet the house and test its confidence,B次元官网网址 Clark told reporters in downtown Vancouver on Tuesday, adding that she believes it is B次元官网网址渓ikelyB次元官网网址 the Liberals would fail.

The announcement comes a day after the BC NDP and the BC Green Party declared they intend to work together and form a minority government.

The two caucuses ratified the deal on Tuesday morning. B次元官网网址淚f there is going to be a transfer of power in this province, and it certainly seems like there will be, it shouldnB次元官网网址檛 be done behind closed doors,B次元官网网址 Clark said.

She said she will not ask the lieutenant-governor to send voters back to the polls and will stay on as leader of the opposition if the Liberals are no longer the governing party.

Clark noted that negotiations with the Green party were unsuccessful.

Asked if her resignation was inevitable, Clark said she would follow constitutional convention and wait for the lieutenant-governorB次元官网网址檚 decision.
