Bus and traffic disruptions expected during Truck Light Convoy Saturday

Rolling disruptions between Ogden Point and Western Speedway are expected

BC Transit announced service disruptions for the annual Island Equipment OwnerB次元官网网址檚 Association Truck Light Convoy and Food Drive.

The BC Transit says all bus routes on Sat., Dec. 1 will be affected and that riders should expect delays.

B次元官网网址淭here will be rolling closured with Police Escort throughout the Capital Region B次元官网网址 Victoria, Oak Bay, Saanich and the Western Communities B次元官网网址 between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.,B次元官网网址 the alert reads on the website.

Trucks will make their way through the downtown core, circle around Victoria General Hospital and pass through the West Shore before stopping at Western Speedway in Langford.

Trucks will start at Ogden Point at 5:45 p.m. and finish around 8:30 p.m. A police escort will be guiding them through the region.

Victoria Police also tweeted about road closures Saturday evening and reminded people that the event collects food for the Mustard Seed Street Church.
