Students at David Cameron Elementary School in Langford got to learn some hockey skills from Westshore Wolves Junior B hockey players as part of the B.C. Hockey Road to World Juniors Tour.

The tour, being held by the B.C. Hockey organization, lets youth from 39 communities in the province learn about and try hockey.

It is in anticipation of the 2019 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championships that will be taking place in Vancouver and Victoria.

Students at David Cameron Elementary School filled the gymnasium and cheered for their classmates and teachers as they learned how to handle hockey sticks and take shots on goal.

B次元官网网址淭he kids are always super excited and itB次元官网网址檚 really fun seeing them get the sticks in their hands,B次元官网网址� said Allie Moore, a program generalist with B.C. Hockey.

B.C. Hockey also donated two sets of floorball equipment to the school with educational material so students can continue to play in their classes.

Benjamin Duffin plays for the Westshore Wolves and he thinks it is a good experience to be able to teach kids about hockey.
