City slickers and farm kids can come together at Metchosin 4-H.
Registration for the year begins Saturday, Dec. 8.
The club offers programs for youth six to 21 years old.
The Cloverbud program is offered for six to eight years olds and allows kids to explore all aspects of farming.
For youth aged nine to 21 there are two programs to chose from, poultry club and the horse program.
In the poultry program the 4-Hers learn how to care for poultry and build their own chicken coops plus they get two chicks to raise at home.

The horse project is for beginners who will learn how to groom and tack a horse.
B次元官网网址淚 want to promote animals for kids who donB次元官网网址檛 have horses,B次元官网网址 Cooper said, adding sheB次元官网网址檇 like to offer more advanced programs in the future.
Each program meets once a month from January to October and the cost is $140 per child for the year.
To sign up for a program go the Metchosin Community House, 4430 Happy Valley Rd., on Dec. 8 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
