Theatre goers will soon be able to B次元官网网址渢ake a trip around the world without ever leaving home,B次元官网网址 according to those involved in Pearson CollegeB次元官网网址檚 latest production of One World.
The annual theatre performance has been produced for more than 30 years, and this yearB次元官网网址檚 event is expected to live up to that impressive history.
One of 14 United World Colleges around the globe, accepts 160 students aged 16 to 19 from over 80 countries, including each province and territory of Canada. These students live, study and grow together for two years on the Metchosin campus, which opened in 1974.
B次元官网网址One World is about more than the nations these students come from B次元官网网址 itB次元官网网址檚 an example of what the students learn by coming to Pearson College UWC, how they interact, and the transformation they undergo by studying and living together for two years,B次元官网网址 says Pearson spokesperson Danielle Pope.
B次元官网网址淥ur students come from very different worlds,B次元官网网址 according to One World production director Libby Mason, who says the performances, which are collaborative creations from the students themselves B次元官网网址 right down to the choreography and costuming B次元官网网址 highlight these different worlds and how they come together here in Canada.
B次元官网网址淭he spoken word acts, for example,B次元官网网址 says Mason, B次元官网网址渙ffer a small window into some of the extraordinary experiences and transformations the students undergo during their time at Pearson.B次元官网网址
Audiences can look forward to their old favourites B次元官网网址 Gumboot, Ukranian dance, and the Pearson College Choir, as well as newly integrated or expanded aspects like the spoken work acts.
