This weekB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s wind storms sent vessels - large and small - onto the rocks around the Saanich Peninsula. These two were spotted off North SaanichB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s Nymph Point. (Steven Heywood/B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ· staff)

As the wind picked up along the coastline of the Saanich Peninsula this week, thee were some predictable results.

As pair of boats B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·” one a small dingy and the other a sailboat B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·” washed ashore at North SaanichB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s Nymph Point Park between Monday and Tuesday. The sailboat, according to a marina worker at the scene Tuesday, said itB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s owned by someone and will be rescued and put back in place.

The dingy appears older and may have been around a bit longer.

During times of high winds around the Saanich Peninsula, there is a good chance boats can be torn from their moorings and end up on the rocks or gravelly beaches in the area.
