VicPD says the Delta Police Department has arrested a man who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.
Colin Monkman, who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for failing to abide by the conditions of his release, was believed to be in Victoria and, according to a news release, was spotted on a ferry to the Tsawwassen ferry terminal.
Delta police arrested Monkman when he arrived at the terminal.
Monkman is currently serving a sentence for several weapons-related convictions, assault, and violating conditions of a peace bond.
"We thank the community for their assistance in sharing the alert, as well as the vigilant individual who reported seeing Monkman," noted the release from the Victoria Police Department.
