Victoria Police seek publicB次元官网网址檚 help after stolen three-wheeled truck chase

Investigation still ongoing following the incident on Christmas Eve

Around 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 24, officers received a call from the owners of a stolen vehicle that had been spotted being driven downtown, after which a police chase ensued despite the stolen cehivle missing a front left tire.

in Greater Victoria took the internet by storm on Christmas Eve, prompting Victoria Police to seek the public's assistance.

The department is asking for a dashcam, cellphone, or CCTV footage of a stolen truck that fled on three wheels on the afternoon of Dec. 24.

At approximately 2:30 p.m., the truckB次元官网网址檚 owner reported spotting the stolen vehicle near Store Street and Herald Street.

By 3:11 p.m., officers observed the truck storming westbound on Pandora Avenue and later on Quadra Street. Shortly afterward, police located the vehicle at Spruce and Nanaimo streets, where it collided with a police vehicle, dislodging one wheel. 

The truck was then seen fleeing on three wheels before being abandoned and recovered in the 3100 block of Harriet Street in Saanich.

No arrests have been made, and no injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing and updates will be provided as they become available.
